I wonder if Jess Settles will write a letter to the editor demanding that Gary Close be hired as his successor. Close has been on Ryan's staff the past 14 years.
For those who don't know, when Keno Davis left Drake, Settles wrote a letter to the editor at the Des Moines Register pissing and moaning that Drake didn't hire Close. Didn't realize Jess was a Drake fan.![]( "Wink")
I'm sure that Gary Close is a great guy, but there's probably a reason he's never been a head coach at the college level, despite about 30 years as an assistant; most of them in the Big 10.
